Note: This page is dedicated to a man who hit our site from abroad for the very first time. (How you doin' Matthias?)

Hi folks!
Eventhough we don't expect any enormous international traffic overhere, we decided to write a few words in order to explain why are we here.

Kreuzberg is biker's synonym for local peak called Krizova hora, which you can simply call The Cross Peak. Actually, it's not even a peak! It's a southern tip of Dlouhy vrch (Long Hill) mountain range, one of the highest points of Ceske stredohori (Central Bohemian Kordilleras, huh;), which is in fact one of the smallest mountain chains on Earth.

Kreuzberg, what the hell does that mean? Well it's been already two centuries ago, when the hilltop was treeless and there was a large cross, which every biker, actually horse rider could see from virtually everywhere. As we have heard, in those times there was a mountain cottage in there. By the way, it would be now of a big help, especially with ice cold beer on tap!

For bikers from Litomerice, this hill is of quite significant importance. You would hardly find a bike owner here, who at least once hadn't tried to get all the way to the top. To be honest, every real bike trip starts right here on Kreuzberg. On the way up your legs get warm and solid, your heart reach the right beat, your blood reach the right speed and as you reach the top, you don't feel any pain any more.

Simply, you are ready to go anywhere. Go west and reach Varhost with its breathtaking view of the river Labe, continue via super downhill singletrails through gulches and notches towards valley of the river; Go north to Cereniste and continue to Usti/Strekov or go to Zubrnice and Bukova hora; Go east to Sedlo and continue to Ustek. Simply go anywhere and beautiful views and excellent biking experience is guaranteed. It's not without reason that the major part of Central Bohemian Mountain Biker Marathon took place just here. On bike, you can easily reach Kreuzberg, actually going southest from Long Hill. You woun't even need to step the pedals too hard.

By the way, kreuzberg.lt site is here for you from January 2001 in order to serve you with everything about biking around Litomerice. Tracks, competition results, events, simply, whatever we explore will be dumped in here. Use it and enjoy it.

Bike the world, dud, and don't forget to listen to Elwood, Jake and lil' Buster! They damn know what they are doin'!!!
